Life's Seed

Life's full of disappointments
I'm going to roll all mine up                  
Stuff 'em in a joint and                            
Smoke my troubles away            So much heartache 
Watch the haze dissipate
Into nothingness

   

                                            The seed of hate
                                             planted in a bed of
                                             dampen earth
                                             watered with tears   
So much pain                   fertilized by word
                                             spoken in ignorance
                                             The seed sprouted
                                              roots growing strong
                                              and firm, wrapped
                                              their vines around a
                                              heart choking out love
